Sponsorship obligations
As a Business Sponsor you have obligations to the Department of Immigration in relation to your business and the employees you sponsor and there are severe penalties for non-compliance.
Do you understand your obligations to notify the Department of Immigration when certain events happen in relation to your sponsored employees and/or your business? Is your HR team aware of these obligations? We can provide training and consultation in this area so you can rest easy that you are acting within the law.
Labour Market Testing
It is a requirement of many occupations that an employer demonstrates that they have looked for local candidates to fill a position before they look to the overseas labour market or choose a non-resident applicant. This process is known as Labour Market Testing (LMT).
OzBound Migration can advise you when LMT applies to your proposed position and guide you through the process. For additional fees we may be able to conduct recruitment activities on your behalf if you do not have the resources to do this in-house.
Managing your visa program
Keeping track of your employees' visa status can be a time consuming process and can have serious implications for your business if you do not apply reasonable checks to your workforce.
We can conduct visa verification checks, notify the Department of status changes and employee terminations/resignations to help you to stay on top of your visa program.
Our services can be tailored to your needs - you pay for as little or as much help as you need.
Corporate Services
As an employer you may wish to become a Standard Business Sponsor to employ non-residents on a regular basis or you may have only an occasional need to bring overseas nationals into your business. This adds to the workload of your operational and Human Resource staff who may not have the necessary skills or the time to deal with such requests. We have the expertise and qualifications to undertake these services quickly and professionally on your behalf, freeing your time for managing your business and creating a great first impression for your new employee.
